Burning fat or cutting weight seems to be the biggest issue with people nowadays, because we jut can’t seem to say no to the foods we love. But, who says you can’t enjoy the foods you love when dropping fat? The key factor in losing weight is that you need to be in a caloric deficit. I can’ stress enough on how important being in a caloric deficit really is. Burning fat is a numbers game and it doesn’t mean you have to cut out the foods you love to accomplish this goal. No matter what, as long as you’re in a caloric deficit you will always lose the weight. You first need to figure out how many calories your body needs to sustain its weight. Once you figure out that number, subtract 200 – 300 from it & you will burn the fat! I’s pretty simple, if you go over the number you will gain weight and if you stay under the number you will lose weight! So, you must always remain in a caloric deficit until you have finally reached your ideal weight. Let’s face it, nobody wants a gut & everyone wants to look good & as you read along I’ll show you some helpful tips to burn it all off & keep it off. Nobody ever likes to be on a diet. When someone thinks of the term diet, they think of only salads & “healthy” types of food. I mentioned earlier that you don’t need to stop eating the foods you love to burn the fat off. You have to learn how to portion yourself & count your calories. Counting calories is key if you don’t want to give up the delicious foods. Everywhere you go nowadays they’re always telling you how many calories a certain food or meal has. So, be aware of what you’re eating to make sure that you’re staying dedicated to your goals. At first this might seem difficult, but as time goes on it gets much easier & will feel like second nature. Turn this into a habit so you can burn the fat off while still enjoying your favorite foods.
A really great way to melt fat right off your body is with intermittent fasting. Don’t be scared of the word fasting. It can actually benefit you health wise & a powerful tool to burn fat right off. All you have to know about intermittent fasting is that you fast for 16 hours & then have an eating window of 8 hours. During he 16 hours you do not take in ANY calories. While in the 8 hour window consume your caloric needs for the day. Fasting can help you melt the fat off, because as you fast, your body is using your fat (stored energy) to go about your day. So, choose a good time that benefits you to consume your calories. I noticed that eating at lunch time through dinner is the best way to intermittent fast. It’s good to try different things to burn fat, because if you stick to one method your body will adapt to it and you will hit a plateau. So, remember to switch things up so you can remain losing weight. The best results given by IF can vary between individuals. It can be different because everyone’s lifestyle & eating habits aren’t alike. Just self-experiment & see what works best for you. Once you find that certain method that you can actually stick to, it’ll be very convenient to incorporate into your specific lifestyle.
Cardio: Is It Necessary?
Depending on the individual cardio is needed. It varies on the individual because if you’re extremely overweight than you should definitely consider cardio. But if you’re relatively lean & have stubborn belly fat then no. Let your diet burn the fat off so you can focus more on lifting weights. Lifting weights is more convenient because the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. So a relatively big stocky person will lose fat a lot faster than a skinny fat person simply because of the different amounts of muscle mass. So depending on what body type you are I would suggest low interval cardio for at last 30 minutes to get your metabolism going if you’re a stockier type. If you’re just looking to get rid of the stubborn belly fat, just do 15 minutes on a treadmill or simply go for a walk. Remember to always hit the weights before cardio. You want to make sure that the muscle is being built so you can melt the fat as fast as possible. Nobody wants to be on a treadmill for a our a day, it gets stale & boring so remember to try different types of cardio. Stairmaster, the elyptical or even the bike can help benefit you so that you won’ t get bored doing the same thing. I would suggest doing cardio three times per week. Slow-steady pace & as you progress you can do high interval training. High interval training is a method of cardio in which you excerpt intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery, such as sprints. This type of cardio can benefit the people who strongly dislike cardio because you can do this for short periods of time. You do NOT have to go through a dreadful 3 mile run. In fact, you can just go for an intense 10 minute run & call it a day. Another form of cardio is low interval training. This is more of a slow brisk walk rather than an intense sprint.
